My ex was a very controlling person so when we divorced he made the divorce rules as to get the divorce over with as soon as possible so he could be with his woman and her 2 kids. In doing so, he set a figure to child support $1,600.00 so we could live comfortably. He kept his business free and clear with building included, promised medical insurance, etc. until daughter was age 23. After moving in with his new family, the money went down per him to only $400.00 each month. Then, only 4 years later, he said $300.00 each month. My daughter is now 23 and I want to know if I have the legal right to sue him for back support. He paid no medical insurance all those years. He said he could not afford to keep 2 families. I couldn't force him to pay all those years because he was self employed, but he has had a real job for 2 years. I have had 2 jobs for the past 9 years because of his ignorance and control of everything. I don't see it as fair for a father to cry money and keep another family secure and belong to two golf leagues, go to Vegas for vacation, and mountaineer for weekends while leaving the welfare of his daughter in shambles. I feel he should have to squeeze like I had to squeeze to provide the care he had promised us. Do I have a chance? I live in state of Pennsylvania.
