What can I do if I am doing business under a Trademarked name?

Full question:

I recently received an email from sender and the letter was telling me that I cannot do business as the name The Organizing Diva as they have it trademarked. (The email was not from a company name and it did not seem legitimate.) I have filed my DBA in Los Angeles and operating as Organizing Diva since January 2006. I searched the trademark database and could not find this persons trademark. I also googled Organizing Diva and found so many others doing business under that name in various parts of the country. I am unaware of my rights regarding this situation as I am a new business owner and I would like to see my business grow and not face legal battles for the name I have filed as my DBA.

There are firms who conduct trademark searches for a fee. A trademark can be registered at the state and national levels.
