Full question:
What do I do if an 18 year old guy took a video of me, a 16 year old, where I was giving him oral sex? I've told him to delete the video (videos maybe I'm not sure) because I had no knowledge of him recording at the time, but I'm not sure he has and other people have seen the video. I don't want to press charges unless I have to because he messed up majorly but I don't want that to effect him for the rest of his life, but what charges could I charge him with?

Answer:
In Illinois, since you are under 17, the 18-year-old could face charges of sexual abuse. Additionally, recording you without your consent can lead to charges related to the taking and possession of those videos, especially if they are shared with others. Even if both parties believed the sexual act was consensual, the law considers you below the legal age of consent. In Illinois, if a person engages in sexual conduct with someone under 17 and is less than five years older, they may be guilty of criminal sexual abuse (720 ILCS 5/11-1.50). This could also require the older individual to register as a sex offender.
