My mom is a widow. She is dating a guy, who apparently hates me. I guess because of this my mom is refusing to give me money for my personal expenses. She has stopped my pocket money as well. Can I complain against my mom? I am 15 years old and a resident of Maryland.

You may file a complaint against your mother if she is not providing you necessary support and care. The court may punish your mother with an imprisonment up to 3 years or a fine up to 100 dollars, for intentionally neglecting to provide you child support.Md. FAMILY LAW Code Ann. § 10-203 says:
(a) Failing to support minor child. -- A parent may not willfully fail to provide for the support of his or her minor child.
(b) Deserting minor child. -- A parent may not desert his or her minor child.
(c) Penalties. -- An individual who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine not exceeding $ 100 or imprisonment not exceeding 3 years or both.”
