Yes, once the marriage is declared void or the judgement of nullity is granted by the court, the court in its discretion and regardless of the request included in the prayer of the complaint as a part of the judgement, may restore the name of the party to that before the marriage.This is stated in ORC Ann. §3105.34. It reads:
“If the court determines that a marriage is void or that a judgment of nullity ought to be granted, the court may in its discretion, and regardless of whether or not a request therefor was included in the prayer of the complaint as a part of such judgment, restore any name that the person had before the marriage.”
